The Roofs Seen From the Observatory

20171106

Every city has it's many faces.
Sometimes it's appearance made us surprise with unexpected unique faces.

I found those uniqueness of Seoul from observatory in front of Jongmyo shrine.
Jongmyo was a king's family shrine.
The ceremony for the former kings had been held several times a year.

We looked around Jongmyo with my friend.
It was more than 20 years ago I had visit Jongmyo shrine last time.

After finishing walking around, we headed to the observatory to look at the panorama of the Jongmyo shrine. The guide suggested to go to the observatory.

As the guide told us, the scene of Jongmyo from the observatory was amazing.
But unoccasionally I looked down another side of Seoul city from observatory.

I was shocked. I've never thought those kinds of roofs.
The roofs were very old, some of roofs was all but destroyed.

The buildings seemed to have been built in the period of Korean war time.

Over the old ravaged building, there were glittering the post modern style skyscrapers.

This discrepancy and contrast made me think again myself. Maybe there must be devastated looking faces in me like Seoul city.

Outward appearance was very nice, but there would be the case the inside could not follow the outward appearance.

Usually the dirty and devastated areas were concealed from others.
But if you look at the things from different view, you could find unexpected side.

I think this unknown appearances might be the real one of our life.
