Your time is valuable
Do you have time to spend hours a day scraping through the feed looking for things you support? If you found this acticle by chance then maybe, but others will be here because they follow me.
Time is one thing a lot of us cherish, and we always run out of it. Could you imagine a way to find great articles that you would support, without digging through a feed of junk? If you said yes, then it might be time to join a curation trail!
A curation trail is kind of like letting someone else do all of the hard work for you. Letting them take a pan and sift through all the other junk to find article/blog gold.
Things to consider
There are a few things you might want to take into consideration first.
- Do you trust the person casting the trail head vote?
- Are you ok with their past voting history?
- Do they share similar interests in articles/blogs?
- Are you ok with semi-blind voting?
To be apart of a trail has two major sides here on Steemit, to earn money or to vote great content you would also support. Sometimes these lines can be blurred, but try to focus on one side.
I recently wrote a blog about setting up the #steemsilvergold curation trail with @raybrockman as the trail head. It can be found Here. Now this "roadmap" of setting up yourself to be added to a trail can be customized for other people too, just change the search parameters.
The reason I mention this is one of the comments stress the divergence between votes on different topics. Once you join a trail, you will vote on every single thing the trail head does. No matter what it is you will vote, and thats why the 4 questions above come into play.
So before you decide to join a trail, make sure you can say yes to all of those questions.
Thanks for reading about my ideas of curation trails, hope this helped some of you. Especially all you in the #steemsilvergold toward making a decision to jump on the @raybrockman curation trail.
