SPU Poetry Contest #5: STILLNESS

Like the stillness of a tree
that integrates with life
let me enter like this
with the natural form
the steps I should not mark
footprints I fear leaving

Fear does not know him, they are distant
there is depth, freshness and peace
how to learn not to err
the true I must not give up
and whom to consult about the smallness of the world
that brings us closer and closer
and we still feel loneliness.
I go to your feet for comfort to find
With the earth I can connect
recover the impetus we have at birth
I can achieve all that
although golden rays my hair is present
under your branches I will be a child again
to be able to sing and dissolve the steps that fail
find the way again
is what we all want to think

This poem is an original piece for the contest SPU Poetry Contest #5, inspired by the phrase" how the quiet of a tree" from Tree Swing by last week's winner @shawnamawna
