Today I want to show you that Venice is not all confusion, noises, tourists queued along the streets etc.
There is a side of Venice that is relaxing and peaceful.
When you arrive in Venice, the visual impact with hundreds of people is inevitable.
I arrived by train. It's complicated to park in Venice, there are parking lots but they are very expensive because they are in great demand.
In Venice last year 30 million tourists arrived!
Avoiding the main roads you immediately realize that tourists are gone.
Tourists always do the same routes and often follow each other not knowing where they are going ...
I took this picture 500 meters from the railway station!
Look, there's almost nobody!
If I have to be honest, on the bridge I found some clues that prove that some tourists have been here too!! : D
Probably some couples stayed here which is a slightly outside area so they could save…
Coming down from the bridge I saw two elderly Venetian ladies who you will never see in the typical tourist routes.
By now the Venezia residents are few because it has become a very expensive city and young people want to live in the mainland to have the convenience of transport, services etc.
After a pleasant walk I felt tired, so I took a random road and ended up in a school oratory with a portico and a nice bench ... there was only me.
It was really good, only the chirping of the birds on the neighboring trees could be heard.
It may seem obvious but it is not.
Find me a city where you can find silence and peace. Without pollution, without noise.
In Venice there is also this!
It was really hot so in 2 minutes I returned to a more touristic area so I could find a bar.
I ordered a Spritz, the famous drink made with Aperol, white wine and sparkling water that is really dissenting.
As I said, in Venice you can also relax!
