Curation Updates
Over the past week there were a few major changes to the curation criteria. Here are the key changes once again, as stated last week.
1. There is no more Reputation Cap to get a curie vote ( previous 52 )
Verified and engaged authors only who have been consistent without much success of late. Focus is on new authors who have made few good posts, but haven't been discovered yet. Posts from higher REP ( above 52 ) authors need to be truly exceptional.
2. Maximum pending payout increase to $3 from $1
Posts must be more than 150 minutes old, but less than 24 hours, with maximum $3 pending payout.
Curators Application Updates
Top Curators can recommend 3 new curators increase from 1 only
With the increase in the criteria for curators to reach top curator, we have seen a huge increase of quality posts being submitted. Therefore we foresee that top curators ability to recommend really good curators. We have not open up allocation for recommendation up to 3 curators per week from each Top Curator .
Having said that ... this week there are 15 available slots for recommendation to be a curator. Kindly signup on steemit.chat and engage with the top curators above. Ideally engage with all the curators in the #curie channel on Steemit.Chat to get a mentorship from these top curators.
Checkout their blog post and also engage with them from there as every Top Curator has their methods of recommending new Curators.
