Explanation

If you zoom out the image, you'll see a shape of a Magnifying glass.
This is because the Curie curators take efforts to find great content among mediocre ones and to find them, they'd need a magnifying glass. Because of the majority of trash out there. It's almost like finding a needle in a sh*t-stack.
You get what I mean.

Also, notice how 'ur' is highlighted? It reads out to:
"Ur Curie" = "Your Curie".
Because, they're promoting users who're doing a great job out there with their articles and content. Like you and me. So, your Curie. Our Curie.
(Yes, my content is great.)

Explanation

This logo is supposed to resemble the top-view of binoculars.
Why binoculars? Because, like how we use binoculars to spot beautiful birds and animals from far away, the curators @curie also find beautiful content and awesome creators to provide them a boost.
