ππ This recipe makes enough for 2 Big pies which I will freeze into 2 freezer bags so its ready to just throw into pie crust or three smaller pies / you can also use one to make 6 little individual Pies Or Tarts !! There's many posibilities once you get the filling made on a day you have some free time ! I do this a lot in the fall when all the fruits are readily available and quite a bit cheaper , or in my case I was given a bunch of Canadian Gala Apples and Macintosh Apples along with a container of Fresh Picked Blueberries !! Mmmmmm , soon I will do a post on the pie I make !! Enjoy my friends !!ππ
ππLEST GET STARTED !ππ
INGREDIENTS : 11 Apples- peeled , cored , sliced / 1cup Blueberries rinsed / 1\2 of 1 lemon 1 tsp. Vanilla ( in a small bowl combine 1 Cup of Brown Sugar for a more caramel type pie / 1 heaping Tbsp. Flour / 1tsp. Cinnamon / grated peel of your lemon half )
π First clean your Blueberries by running under cold water using a sieve so they can rest and drain well , we don't want watery pies LOL! π
π Combine in a small bowl : 1 Cup Brown sugar / 1 Heaping Tblsp. Flour / 1 tsp Cinnamon / 1\2 grated lemonπ
πππ Start peeling 6 or 1\2 of your Apples at a time / core and slice them right into your large bowl ! Squeeze some of your lemon over your apples and toss well to coat them all ITS IMPORTANT LEMON JUICE WILL KEEP THEM FROM TURNING BROWN WHILE YOU START YOUR NEXT 5 or 6 APPLES !! πππ
ππ Once all apples are sliced , add the last of your lemon juice and toss again with 1tsp. Vanilla !ππ
π On top of Apples add your small mixed bowl of sugar / and your Cup of Blueberries !π
π Combine well by folding in useing a spatualla as not to break open your Blueberries !
ππThat's it !! Divide equally into two medium sized freezer bags for future use ! ππ
