PARROT'S LIFE - AFTER 26 DAYS WITH US PREVIOUSLY MISTREATED PARROT IS EATING OUTSIDE OF A CAGE

Ok, I know he is not actually on my table, he is not on the other side of a room, but this is a complete success and I am so happy to see him finally deciding to get out of his little turtle shell and to eat his millet next to me, and outside of a cage. When done eating and pulling things on the outside of a cage he goes again instantly to hide into a safety of his cage.

A parrot that was previously mistreated came to us at 1st of May, he was anti-social, his muscles were very week, he was unable to climb on bars, or even walk on them, he was malnutrition and kept in a small limiting cage.
I kept the entire parrot diary in Steemit and monitored his development.
I had to use a lot of effort, persuasion and being constantly next to the bird helped a lot for him to trust me.

I took a few pictures of him today, eating outside of a cage. Cage is open by the way, but he is not willing to go any further. I am next to the cage by my writing desk.
Also, he makes a lot of mess by eating, either in a cage or outside it. I have to clean it every few days, because he tosses everything around.
He has his feeder, water, toys and bread ( he loves that) inside of a cage, so you can be sure, he is not that hungry to get out and you will see in video that I can come really close to him. But, he is just too shy.

This picture just turn this way, because he has a really fast motions, he usually do all those parrot-movements with his head. And when he likes something he does that all the time to persuade me to give him something.
I also had to put drapes on a back of the cage, because he doesn't like seeing shadows from the outside, it makes him go crazy.
And we don't want that, because then he flaps a lot... and all his seeds end up in my coffee.

You can see an entire video of him eating outside of his cage. Me talking to him. When he is done he simply climbs over those bars up to his favorite spot. And yes, that's a mirror inside of a cage, he likes that a lot.
He doesn't like me to only watch him, he prefers me to either talk to him, or to mind my business and write like he is not even there.

These are all my previous posts about him.
