Extra Large Weimaraner Photoshoot Big Is Beautiful

This is Atos. He is grumpy because his human parents are out. He is grumpy because we havn't taken him out for his walk yet. We're waiting for his human parents to come back from shopping so we can help them carry the bags.

They get heavy stuff and they're seniors, which is why he never gets walked ever. They don't take him to the dog park anymore. We are temporarily living with them, since we came back from a six months stay in Mexico.

Now he can go out each day for a while. He needs to lose weight but his parents insist that he gets ham, cheese and fried egg sandwiches, along with any fried foods that they eat. He eats cake and sweets, and candy. He also has an abundance of low grade dog food.

When we were in Mexico we babysat a dog that had a diet of raw carrots, cucumber, blueberries, oatmeal, avocado, apples, and chicken. A small amount of chicken. He was strong, fit, lean, energetic and had a shiny coat.

Coming back to see our darling "Atos" with rolls of fat on his body was heartbreaking. We would like to return to Mexico, but we will have to face the fact that this dog will no longer have the activity that he is getting while we're here.

"Atos"is loyal to his human father the most. This is a high energy breed that has adapted to living with seniors that have health problems. He never barks loudly except for the odd time when someone comes in. He loves his ball and doesn't chase squirrels. He has an obsession with cats though. I read somewhere that this breed was bred to chase wild cats in Germany.

They say that a dog is man's best friend. I know one thing. This guy is one of my best friends. I wish I could take him with me where ever I go. But he's not my dog.
