Scientific name: Bos taurus indicus
Higher classification: Cattle
Length: Ongole cattle: 1.6 m
Mass: Brahman cattle: 800 – 1,100 kg, Gyr cattle: 540 kg, Ongole cattle: 430 – 460 kg
Height: Gyr cattle: 1.4 m, Ongole cattle: 1.5 m
Did you know: Body of zebu is covered with short, dense fur that can be grey, white, red, brown or black in color
