Publish a Book on STEEM: I did it, here's how!

Hello there,

If you're on top of what happens in the blockchain you may have noticed we have a new "app" working on the STEEM Blockchain.

I'm talking about DBooks.org (@dbooks.org).

Now you can publish books on the blockchain, but how does it work, how WILL it work, and what's the drill?

This post is going to be about this lovely new project, and I'll also tell you why I think it has everything to succeed.

Read on below...

How Does DBooks Work? Here's a Rundown of Present and Future Features:

For now, DBooks allows you to create a book based on your past STEEM posts or even from scratch if you feel inclined to do so.

You just login through SteemConnect, you create a book, add a cover image and then add chapters.

Each chapter gives you a window like if you were publishing a new post, you just copy paste the title and body of a past post of yours to make the chapter... but won't it publish it again on STEEMit?

Not at all, you can tick an option not to publish the chapter on your blog so you can make your book without worrying about reposts.

In the future, you'll be able to earn rewards based on renting out the book for others to read.

People will also be able to leave your book with reviews on what they thought of it, so you better produce quality.

The project is still at its bare minimum and it doesn't offer much in terms of features right now, but I think it will be big, and I'm going to tell you why below...

Why is DBooks a Promising Project?

It all comes down to it being a platform for High Effort content rather than low effort one... it also comes down to the fact it offers a way for bloggers to monetize their past content.

These are two important variables.

Starting by the monetization option, every blogger here wants a chance at monetizing past posts, posts that already passed their payout window.

This means the supply of books will keep on increasing.

On the demand side, if I like an author I'll definitely catch his books since they are posts curated by the author himself that present value on a specific topic, thus it is easier for me to read his best pieces without having to use chainbb or browse through his blog in a quest to find the best posts he has on said subject.

On the other hand, talking about high effort, the books will offer value based on their authors, and with the review system to be implemented not only will it favor long content form but it also will favor high quality content form as well.

Long + High Quality = Ideal for the STEEM blockchain.

Low effort platforms, in my opinion, have no room in the blockchain, and that's why I think Zappl is severely underused - people are afraid to show the wrong image.

If they were to install this feature of not posting to STEEM blog when publishing, I think this would change.

Here Are My Books So Far: How To Grow Your STEEMIT Account Vol. I and II

As you can see, I published two books already.

They have 13-14 chapters so you know they have a lot of juicy info.

I made them from my many guides and I hope those newbies who will start to flow into @dbooks.org will read them and jumpstart their STEEM blogging careers.

My plan is to write even more books and to really populate the platform with my content, as this is right on my alley.

I have high hopes for this "app", so don't let me down @feekayo or I'll chase you around and haunt you for life.

In Conclusion:

I think this platform has a really high potential and nothing would leave me happier than seeing it succeed.

I'm not sure if @feekayo and @timoshey know me already, but if they don't, then "Hi, I'm @SpiritualMax".

I hereby volunteer to put my Marketing Skills and Influence to your service @feekayo, so if you need any help whatsoever, catch me on Discord and let's talk about it.

For now, enjoy the content I'll pour on your platform.

Cheers!
