For the comic book geeks, the Deadpool movie will heavily be remembered for being the first X-Men universe based movie that was unafraid to clothe the characters in the actual costumes they would wear in the comics, even more than just Deadpool's spot on costume. I never hated Colossus' appearances in the previous X-Movies, but after Deadpool, you just can't go back to a tiny silver painted actor compared to what we were given. On top of an overly sized in a cartoon way steel with Colossus, you had the bright yellow X-Men costume right from the comics on Negasonic Teenage Warhead, she killed it, made those horrible black biker leather costumes the X-Men wore in the previous movies look silly.
Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds and other cast have been sharing photos of the characters Domino and Cable, let's take a quick look at their comic counterparts first in case you are not familiar with who these characters are from the comics. Prepare for really great actors, but no longer the "it looks just the same as the comic books" costumes that Ryan fought so hard to get in the first Deadpool.
Amazing actress Zazie Beet earned the role of Domino, if you have ever seen the TV show Atlanta, you know her as Donald Glover's baby's mama, and if you don't know her from that show, you should, Atlanta is a really great show.
And Josh Brolin, you may know him best as THANOS! Yes, the big purple guy who is going to be soon trying to destroy all the Marvel Cinematic Universe is Cable. So odd they could not find another actor than one already having a very large role in the Marvel Universe, but Fox gives no fucks and may have done this on purpose the way Marvel treats the X-Men in the comics universe.
Still excited? You should be, I think Zazie and Josh can bring these characters to life without having to rely on clothes that look the same. They are already having fun with things too, which is definitely a huge part of the Deadpool universe. If you remember the below promotional shot of Deadpool from the first film.
Well they did a pretty awesome thing to prep for 2.
Lastly, Josh Brolin shared this on his instagram just yesterday.
Sure, Cable cosplayers have done it better, but I bet they can't out act Josh.
