Haaa, The big Place of Brussels: World Heritage Site protect by UNESCO.

Before doing this article I was documenting myself a bit. I thought, "Come on, I'm going to tell a little bit about its story." But actually, I don't agree with what I've read online.
I say I do not agree, I should say that the collective memory of Belgium itself don't agree with what I read on wikipedia, to name only him.
Belgium, actually Brussels inspire an architectural term: the Brusselixme. It means the art of mixing architectural styles in a funny way. On Wikipedia, he says that this term comes from the post-war era, when Brussels, like many other cities have been in the grip of massive reconstruction. Leaving part of the old city on its feet but seeing a new style emerge on another side. They say that my beautiful city has been "disfigured by unscrupulous promoters"
But, since I was little girl, I hear another story. Much more beautiful, much more lyrical. It seems to me just as relevant but even if it's mabye not true , I prefer to tell you this one! In any case, she is more authentic!
Me, I learn that our big place is a merry and that it is from its that comes the term. It has been destroyed more than once and rebuilt in a short century. It's border of essential building at the time: the houses of the guilds, the town hall and the House of the King. The thing is, everyone had their favorite style. The goal at the time is to rise as high as possible to "get closer to God". Hence the revolution of the Gothic architectural stye, which is rises much higher than the Romanesque thanks to its vaults.
So, at each reconstruction, we wanted to go higher ! What pushed the craftsmen of the time to mix all the known architectural styles because the couldn't always use such or such style because of a lack of place for example.
In conclusion, our big place is the mess 😂
Yeah, yeah .. Look carefully at each building. There are some stocky, very straight, rounded, vaulted, some with turrets, others with mini domes 😅
We end up with pre-Romanesque, Romanesque, Gothic, Asturian and even grotesque buildings! (yeah, yeah, it is an architectural style haha, it is the typical Florentine style with leaf is drawings that represents weird things)
I'll not take the risk to name the style of each building, I've enought knowledge to differentiate the pre-novel from the romanesque to start haha
But see by yourself the aesthetic incongruity we have created.
Here the framing columns seem closer to the romanesque while the interior ornaments clearly seem to belong to the grotesque.
So, good.
We love it , our big place! We wanted her to be beautiful! It had to harmonize a little all that so ... we put gilding .. everywhere everywhere everyyyyyyywhere!
I hope you enjoyed reading the story of my place seen by us and not what we find in books or wikipedia!

Haaa, La grand place de Bruxelles : classée au patrimoine mondiale de l'UNESCO.
Avant de faire cet article j'ai été me documenter un peu.
Je me disais '' allez , je vais raconter un peu son histoire ". Mais en fait, je ne suis pas d'accord avec ce que j'ai lu en ligne. Enfin, je dis que Je ne suis pas d'accord, je devrais dire que la mémoire collective de la Belgique elle même n'est pas du même avis que ce que j'ai pu lire sur wikipédia, pour ne citer que lui.
La Belgique, en fait Bruxelles à inspirer un terme architectural : La Bruxellisation. Ca signifie l'art de mélanger les styles architecturaux de manière .. cocasse. Sur Wikipédia, il disent que ce terme vient de l'après guerre, époque où Bruxelles, comme beaucoup d'autres villes on été en proie au reconstruction massive. Laissant une part de l'ancienne ville sur pieds mais voyant un nouveau style émerger à ses côté. Ils disent que ma belle ville à été "défigurée par des promoteurs peu scrupuleux "
Moi, depuis que je suis petite, j'entends une autre histoire. Beaucoup plus belle, beaucoup plus lyrique. Elle me parait toute aussi pertinente mais qu'elle soit vraie ou pas, je préfère te raconter celle là ! Dans tout les cas , elle est plus authentique !
Moi, on m'a raconter que notre grand place est un joyeux et que c'est d'elle que vient ce terme. Elle a effectivement été détruite plus d'une fois et reconstruite en court de siècle. Elle est border de bâtiment essentiel à l'époque : les maisons des corporations, l'hôtel de Ville et la Maison du Roi. Le truc, c'est que chacun avait son style de prédilection. Le but à l'époque c'est de s'éléver le plus haut possible pour se '' rapprocher de dieu''.
D'où la révolution du stye architectural gothique, qui monte bien plus haut que le roman grâce à ses voûtes.
Alors, a chaque reconstruction, on voulait aller plus haut ! Ce qui a pousser les artisants de l'époque à mélange tous les styles architecturaux connus car on ne pouvait pas toujours utiliser tel ou tel style par manque de place par exemple.
En conclusion, notre grand place , c'est le bordel !
Oui , oui .. Regarde bien chaque batiment. Il y en a des tout trapu, des très droit, des arrondit, des vouté, certains avec des tourelles, d'autres avec des mini dômes 😅
On se retrouve avec des bâtiment pré-roman, roman, gothique, asturien et même du grotesque ! ( oui oui c'est un style architecturale haha, c'est le typique florentin avec des feuille est des dessins qui représente des feuilles bizarre)
Je ne vais pas me risquer à nommer le style de chaque batiment , je ne m'y connais pas assez pour différencier du pré-roman du roman pour commencer haha
Mais constatez par vous des incongruité esthétique qu'on à créé.
Ici les colonnes d'encadrement semble plus proches du roman alors que les ornements intérieurs semble clairement appartenir à du grotesque.
Alors, bon. On l'adore notre grand place ! On voulais qu'elle soit belle ! Il fallait bien harmoniser un peu tout ça alors... on a mit des dorures .. partout partout paaaaaaartout !!!
J'espere que ça t'a plu de lire l'histoire de ma place vu par nous et non pas ce qu'on trouve dans les livres ou sur wikipédia !
