I was reading @c0ff33a's Sublime Sunday when I came across a Singing Competition that he was supporting. I had to of course find out more and immediately clicked on the link, I was pleasantly surprised.

I was late to the party by 5 weeks, this was the 6th week running except we had 2 weeks to submit our song. The theme Disney Movies sealed the deal and we decided to give it a go.

We picked a song that K had sung in school half her life ago. She was 8 years old, and they wanted performances and she volunteered. I sewed her a dress that resembled a mermaid and she did fantastic seeing how the school didn't realise she was singing and thought she was going to lip-sync.

So when she started, they ran to give her a microphone. She stopped, told everyone over the microphone that she was going to start again, and did. I was so proud of her then as I am of her now. When I recorded her singing this, I hadn't realised that she had improved since she is always stuck playing the piano. And I might be too hard on her as well, so she does get a little nervous around me. But this time, she just went for it. Yay @artik!!
