Sampling the Delightful Cantonese Foods of Shanghai / 三号黄埔会粤菜

Continuing on from my previous post yesterday, I also had the opportunity to dine at the excellent Canton Table restaurant. It is located inside the Bund itself, accompanied with a breath-taking view overlooking the most beautiful parts of the city.

The restaurant was beautifully decorated from the outset, looking both new and modern. Featuring beautiful flowers and traditional paintings on the wall, it was all very elegant indeed.

They have a number of small and large private room areas, like many other Chinese restaurants do. With a couple of tables near the Bund side windows and on a clear night, you are treated to a spectacular show of lights and colours from the other side of the river.

Adding to the charm of this place are people who greet you as well as show you to your table. Very humble and extremely polite.

The menu offers a comprehensive array of Cantonese and Shanghai based delicacies. Everything about the food was fantastic, from it's stylish presentation to the simple but dynamic flavours of the food itself.

The Roast Goose was excellent. A real must try. The green vegetables tasted fresh and cooked to perfection. One of my favourites has got to be the salt and pepper fried prawn dumplings. That delicious favour is something I had never tried before, there this also comes heartily recommended. A truly first class meal all round.

Overall, Canton Table offered up a most enjoyable and memorable fine dining experience and I would definitely return here on my next trip to Shanghai.


继续我的上海之旅,昨天我在三号黄埔会餐厅吃饭,的确不错。它坐落于外滩三号五楼,俯视这座城市最令人叹为观止的美景!

餐厅内部装潢很气派考究,雍容雅致,也不失现代简约风格。墙上满是怀旧风情,而窗外则是浮华外滩夜景!在靠外滩边的窗户附近有几张桌子,那可是绝佳的风景位置哦!

三号黄埔会和其他中餐馆一样,拥有大小不同的私人房间。服务生十分殷勤,并且彬彬有礼,也算是这里的一大特色。

该菜单提供了经典粤菜和上海菜,无论是家喻户晓的家常菜还是名贵山珍海味,这里都应有尽有。 虽然我们只有两个人,点的才不多,但样样都好棒哦!烧鹅皮脆肉滑,一定要试,呵呵。芥蓝也炒得很嫩,火候掌握得非常到位。我最爱的是椒盐虾饺,这里的大厨在传统风味中发扬独具匠心的一面,真的很赞哦!

三号黄埔会餐厅的独特设计与窗外的浦东外滩美景,真让人流连忘返。而他们的美食更是独具一格,为我带来了崭新的味蕾体验!下次来上海,我一定会再来这里,呵呵。
