Hello guys how're you doing? hope you're great! ヾ(＾∇＾)
I noticed something curious a few days ago.
Since I stared in steemit I've created several characters, and all of them are men. Frankly, I don't usually draw women (I'm very bad at drawing them xD). I find the male figure easier to draw, even though I myself am a female, the female anatomy is very difficult for me to capture on paper. Added to this, the drawing style that I have makes more complicated to give feminine traits. Even though it seems silly is a very complex issue for me when it comes to drawing.
So, I decided to make a female character. I wasn't sure what to do, or what kind of personality should I give her. At some point I decided it would be a good idea to take a friend or a relative as a model for that character, and immediately I thought "Hey, it would be funny to make a character of my sister". And this was the result! (*’▽’)ノ
I tried to make her like some kind of warrior but without really changing the way she dresses (she actually has a pair of shoes similar to those in the drawing, I remember we had to walk a lot to find them, by the way ._.)
There's a reason why I draw her in this way. She really is like a cool warrior for me. As a kind of superhero who always saves the day, even if she sometimes doubts about herself, she always seems to have the solution for any problem, that's the feeling she gives me. I wanted to transmit something like that with this drawing. Also things like the shield that is actually a dorito, and the pencil instead of a sword, I think they really give a little more personality to the character and at the same time they are things that she likes (she really, really likes doritos).
It's really funny for me that now I talk about her like this, when a few years ago I remember that we argue a lot about anything ( we were kids after all xD). Somehow our relationship changed for the better, of course not everything is rosy, but even if things are not always good between the two of us, I really couldn't ask for a better sister.
