Acoustic Freestyle Original Song | Silver Linings (working) | @daily-musings | Creative Process

I debated sharing this because it's not a finished piece, but I'm determined to put more of my work out there.

I write songs by freestyle playing guitar and making up the lyrics as I go. I find I can just let it come out naturally and then go back later to edit or change the chords. It's mostly the cadence and tone that I stick to when editing later.

Let me know what you think!

Silver Lining (working title)

Oh to be young in love,
I thought it was enough.
I kept looking for silver linings,
where there wasn't one.

I climbed to a view above, and I only saw the sun.
Haven't seen the silver linings, and I don't see your love.
I don't see your love.

You drove me back to my my place,
and I try to interpret the looks on your face.
I saw a man, a broken race.
I saw a man who can't see love.

I thought that I could compensate,
for your lack of feelings babe.
But I couldn't, but I couldn't.

So as I drive by your place,
sometimes I would scream out your name,
out of what felt like hate,
but was wasted love,
so wasted babe.
So wasted babe.

Oh I keep looking for silver linings.
I'll keep on my climbing.
I see the moon on the horizon.
If I keep moving forward like this.
