Surprise y'all. It's us, those dudes who hang around in the sma server and who totally get it when it comes to what we are doing, when we are doing the stuff we do we just do it because it's what we do.. enhancing one and another to a different level when 2 become one in music. I always could find joy and inner peace being an audio and beat nerd. James did that with lyrics. Adding this together is just amazing to do, it really is amazing to work with each others and collaborate and grow. I mean this is what is what we are able to as a community where we all share the same chain and passions. I am super happy what this is going to, I see a lot of work in collaborations showing up too and friendships created. Meeting new people and be amazed about what talented people are actually here when it comes to music.!
This beat here was at some point a pain in the ass with the lowend frequency's of the different kicks I used here, this one to get it how I see it as how it is portraying the right feel in the character of the mix was a challenge, I broke some simple rules I use which was going to loud in the proces. That leads to lach of headroom in the end en fixing that turned out not right on spot for my feeling. So a master with some exported patterns was needed. A different thing here is the approach is to do whatever is needed to get the sound in the right direction. more than usual plugins used on the master mix for example and heavy parallel compression to widen it an make room for sounds while getting it a little louder too here and there.
Every song is different, sometimes there is almost no adjustments needed in the end, sometimes you end up placing and tuning every single sound to get rid of mud or to reach a character that makes the track feel right.
