A song about our best friend Derek Honeyman who left this Earth way too young. He passed when he was only 35 years old, in 2013, and it's taken a while for me to put this song together, I was in shock and denial until only recently.
Lyrics
Dimes were falling on the ground, two by two
And every time we turned around it was 333
How could we forget the best friend that we ever had?
The coolest person that we ever met
The kindest man that we've ever known
The best friend that we ever had
The coolest person that we ever met
Edmonton, Calgary, those times in Van City
We grew up in P.G. driving around, listening to Tool, smoking.
How could we forget the best friend that we ever had?
chorus
Dimes are falling on the ground, one by one
And I know if we were on better terms, you'd already been to see me, I'm living on the 333
How could we forget the best friend that we ever had?
chorus
The only Son they would ever have
The only Brother she would ever get
The coolest Uncle they would ever know
The most generous person that we've ever met.
Honeyman.
How could life be so cruel Honeyman?
