Hospitality is something that most Steemians don't get right. They are "nice" and "friendly" to everyone to hopefully not insult them so that they don't get downvoted.
People wear masks everywhere. Now where we have something that can't be censored they are still wearing their masks like someone with a shotgun is standing behind them telling them to be nice otherwise he will steal all their money or kill them.
Look, people, if your blog is fucking boring -> B/W challenges, food recipes, cryptocurrency posts and other bullshit that nobody gives a fuck about then nobody will read it & honestly be interested in it!
People only come to your blog for that cash (if you have a high rep or a fuckton of Steem Power).
Write about something interesting without censoring your words and people will actually read your blog. Many people tell me how they laughed or raged at "this or that" post. And I hear that often.
This would be good feedback for everyone because that means you actually have readers. People are your guests on your blog so put your fucking mask off!
Hospitality on Steem in a Nutshell:
-Don't be fake
-Reply to all comments
-You don't have to welcome everyone, mute idiots
With that said let's talk about Hospitality in real life (hospitality is, by the way, one of the 9 noble virtues)
Hospitality in Real Life
People tell me that I have to work on my hospitality but they don't understand what that means. This is what hospitality means in real life:
1. You help strangers at your door if they need your help (for example a neighbor asking for milk). That doesn't mean that you help people that will just abuse you. I, for example, would never give strangers money.
2. It means to serve your guest's food, drink and that you entertain them. Be a good host!
3. You will have to make sure that your guests are save aka that you protect them.
That is hospitality in real life!
