Green Dreams
Ngalim Franklin (Mr. Green) is Founder/Executive Director of The Greens (@thegreens). Before he talks about his dreams and aspirations for the next five years, permit him highlight some things about himself.
On his creative name tag above, you can see that his purpose in life is to connect, inspire and collaborate with change makers to build thriving, just and sustainable ways of life for all. He wants to work to educate, empower and engage young people to advocate and act for the environment. These have inspired him to develop his Life’s Development Goals (LDGs) which are to respect and affirm the dignity and rights of the human person, promote education for all and foster global environmental sustainability.
But Who really is Mr. Green?

He is a Cameroonian teacher who is passionate about protecting the environment and has strong believes of global citizenship, and lots of stuff that is represented above.
How does Mr. Green plan to achieve the world he dreams of?
In 5 years, he looks forward to have educated, engaged and empowered at least 500 youths to start up small ecobusinesses in waste management, horticulture, apiculture, etc.
This, he has already started in 2017 and has already trained 62 young people in the production of EcoDetergents, Herbal Soaps and Herbal Oils as well as provided 25 of these trainees with interest free loans to commence a business in the production and sale of ecodetergents, herbal soaps and herbal oils. His organization is also currently giving 18 young people employment opportunities and is building the capacities of these young people to be future leaders. 80 young people have been directly touched by Mr. Green and he strives to nurture and empower more than 500 young people in 5 years.
Mr. Green via the Waste Business Hub project strives to touch the lives of at least 2500 people in five years via the donation of free clothes and shoes which he collects from the city and redistributes to the rural poor, vulnerable children, widows and orphans.
He has a strong desire to recycle at least 20 tons of textile waste, automobile tyres, plastic waste and organic waste in Bamenda by the end of year 2023.

Under his leadership through his organization, he strives to educate and engage 50 schools to become Green Schools within the next five years.
He hopes to train 500 young people within the next five years about Climate change and inspire them to take climate action. Mr Green looks forward to mobilizing and engaging thousands of young people via arts, sports and media to get engaged and have fun in environmentalism. This he is already achieving via art, poetry, music, drama, advocacy, football, radio, and the use of diverse creative tools to educate, engage and inspire people to take action!
As a trainer and grassroots environmental activist, Mr. Green envisage training at least 15 communities in Community Tree Nursery Design, Construction and Management, inspire the communities to establish their Community Tree Nurseries for forestation, as well as personally plant at least 2500 trees within the next five years.
Personal Dreams
Away from his organizational and work objectives, he looks forward to traveling together with his family to at least 5 countries around the globe to learn about the different cultures.
He strives to engage is his family more, especially his 8 years old son 5 years old daughter and 6 months old son to have more passion for environmental work and to become Environmental Activists.
Within the next five years, Mr. Green strives to put more green in the lives of people and the planet!
