ADSactly Initiatives - Underprivileged Children Access Education

It is our pleasure to present @SchoolForSDG4, a charity that has been operating successfully on the Steemit platform for the last couple of months. Let me share how steemit blockchain is changing the lives of underprivileged children in Bangladesh and helping the founder @Azizbd run the project.

Quality Education in Bangladesh

Introduction

School For SDG4 is a charity School founded on April 20th, 2016 by Mohammed Abdul Aziz. At first, it was a personal initiative created by the founder, to help the children who couldn't afford to go to luxury schools or had to leave school because of financial difficulties.

The school was established in Gashitula, Mukambari Rd, within a small hut. Children from slums started attending school again and they began dreaming to become doctors, engineers, and so many other professionals. The main objective of our school is to facilitate local underprivileged children, to give them access to quality education and help Bangladesh achieve Sustainable Development Goal 4(SDG4).

In 2018, with help of steemit crowdfunding, the school is supporting around 60 underprivileged children.

School's Other Social Media: Facebook , Twitter, Youtube , Instagram.

Steemit Journey

In July 2016, @Azizbd joined steemit and made his first introduction post, he was not active for a long period of time after that. A couple of months ago, he noticed some steem and SBD in his wallet and started learning about Steemit.

He was determined to set up two separate fundraising accounts, for school and himself.

@SchoolForSDG4 began its Steemit Journey in June 2017.

How Steemit blockchain helped the slum Kids access quality education!

Steemit connected the slum school with global communities that support the initiative with Upvotes and Direct Donations through @SchoolForSDG4. Every donation after transaction costs, by upvote, resteem and/or direct donation for @SchoolForSDG4 goes to cover school direct expenses.

Here are Some Achievements Reached Thanks to Steemit all Throughout the last couple of Weeks:

1. School Education Materials.

The school crowdfunded for a new school laptop and got huge help from steemit Supporters. Here is the post about the school laptop. The children in the picture above are holding the new school laptop.

2. Fruit Program

Fruit program is one of the oldest weekly programmes of the school. Th fruit program has been arranged weekly since April 20th, 2016. The school gets support to run the weekly program from individual donors on steemit.

The school posts are raising moneys for the weekly fruit program and they generate some excess funds that help support other initiatives, like school material distribution, teachers wages and more.

Future Actions:

The School is crowdfunding with the help of @Adsactly, to support these 60 underprivileged children, who only depend on @Azizbd and @SchoolForSDG4 to continue their education. We are focusing on having our own school building which needs a huge fund. This post from @adsactly blog will generate revenue of 100SBD for the school and allow school's current operations and save excess funds for School building or land in the future. The project is also looking for a sustainable source of revenue and business opportunities to continue the charity work.
