Social media is fraught with weird characters and many great people too however many unintelligent people have flooded social media –especially Facebook with information’s that can make a grown man scream in despair –which resulted to people forgetting the big picture here : Knowledge.
Here are some few points:
Steemit is different: The reward system at steemit has made people to bring out their best when posting article and to avoid childish or weird posts like selfies ( when they are in the toilette ) due to the flagging system here. However steemit has its limitations example are those who post a single pictures of cat, bees , flower, birds, house etc without any explanatory notes.
Facebook: many ignorant people have been caught for crimes they posted on FB
One example is the below woman who advertised to sell her 2 kids in order to pay for the bail cost of her boyfriend.

Knowledge and relationship: Social media is full of knowledge and great relationship opportunities. One good example is steemit where members can learn new things daily and build solid relationships with intelligent people by joining their groups and or communities, asking questions, learning new things and making new contacts. This is how social media should be however most (especially Facebook) are flooded with unintelligent people, posting crimes, selfies and weird stuffs like the one below:
