5 DAY OLD BABY STOLEN BY SOCIAL SERVICES IN THE UK IN FEBRUARY 2016 PARENTS STILL FIGHTING FOR HIS RETURN

This photo was taken just after Iolanda Menino, give birth to her son at home on the 1st February 2016. You can see the pure joy in her and her husband's faces.

But 5 days later he was stolen by Social services and to this day they are still trying to get him back.

Iolanda had to be transferred to hospital after the birth due to the midwife pulling the cord to try and deliver the placenta, she started to hemorrhage and lost 2 litres of blood.
The midwife done an overall check on the baby whilst still at home, but when they got to hospital they wanted to check Santiago again, both Iolanda and her husband refused as she was the patient not her son. They finally agreed and Iolanda was discharged home the next day on the 2nd February.

The following day, when this family should have been enjoying their babymoon, a midwife turned up without an appointment, they refused her entry and two hours later another midwife turned up and they refused her entry also. They then called their own midwife to make an appointment, she could only offer them the 12th February. To me this is very, very reasonable of the parents, as there was no reason for the midwifes to come in the first place and they should not have to allow any one in, especially if they turn up without an appointment.

The Princess Anne Hospital Southampton UK sent a doctor to their house; the couple choose not see her, their baby did not need to be seen in the first place. Later that day a policeman turned up hoping to see that their baby was ok, the couple showed the policeman their baby and chatted with him. He left. But on the 6th February Social services turned up and their son Santiago was removed by force.

They have been recording their conversations with social services since then, which they have put on youtube, in one of these videos which I will provide, the mum discusses how social services wanted her to sign a form to say that her baby was at risk from the father and she refused to do that. They have been threatened with arrest so they fled to Portugal where Iolanda is from and continue to fight from their. This mother who is so brave in her fight, this mother who does not even know the colour of her baby's eyes! She only had him with her for 5 days, the cruelty of this is so tremendous.

This is the reality of Social services in the U.K., this is why it is so important to talk out, to expose all these horrific crimes. I have found this article very difficult to write, it has made me very emotional and angry, yet this is nothing compared to how Santiago's parents must feel.

This is why @familyprotection matters. Please show your support.
