Let Us Play "Olivia" - A 50-Word Story for @jayna

Hi, fifty-worders and readers.

You’ve just learned you can summon this girl who can grant you a wish. You just have to perform an easy but odd trick, something involving a pocketknife, a pair of scissors or a stone—you name it—; this was my idea for a fifty-word story, to begin with. Now, the question I asked myself then was, is someone actually as stupid as to want this girl to appear? Then I thought about the possibilities; “Let Us Play ‘Olivia’” presents us with one of them.

This is my second entry into @jayna's #fiftywords contest. The prompt for this week is “pop.”

I hope you can read my entry, and hopefully, you’ll leave a comment.

Let Us Play “Olivia”

“Olivia will pop in for a visit. Turn the scissors thrice in your hand and they’ll point to the room where she is. She’ll grant a wish for a life.”
— If it works, promise we won’t leave this room.
— One… two… three.
— OK. Nothing.
I’m here. Tell me your wish.
