Batman v Superman : A Hush Case in Dawn of Justice

Batman-Hush comic book is one of the best Batman stories for many people. In this article I will answer two criticisms of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, with reference to the Hush series. Because Batman-Hush series really is like one of the inspiration sources of film. This is not a film review. It's just a kind of note about some parts of the film and the comic book. BTW this article contains spoilers from comics and movies!

Riddler and Detective

Throughout the Hush series, Batman is looking for someone at the head of the entrances that surround him. But Batman realizes that the puppet is Riddler at the very end of the comic book. Even Nygma learned the real identity of Batman. But Batman is the best detective in the world. How does Riddler beat him? This isn't a problem for the reader. But in the film, Lex Luther did the same and people became crazy.

Lex manages both Bruce Wayne and Batman for 2.5 years. He is preparing him to fight the biggest gladiator he has ever seen in the world. But Batman has put Superman on the target board as the enemy. So he can not see the real enemy. So it's kind of like the ones on the comic book. Batman that we see in the movie is like this one in the comic book. Things like Batman's being a killer are separate, I just say that it's normal for Lex to play with him.

Joker and Murder

In the Hush series, Bruce's childhood friend Thomas Elliot is killed. And Batman releases the cruel person he was trying to keep. Batman thinks his friend Thomas is killed by The Joker, and he decides to kill The Joker. The last time Jim Gordan gets up and convinces him, he forgets the Joker's life. (Moreover, Thomas Elliot didn't kill by The Joker). We saw when Batman loses a close relative, how his moral values change. He falls in despair and his childhood memories are a big part of his personality.

In Dawn of Justice, Batman doesn't care about the low-level offenders who died during the conflict. Batman's main motivation in the film is the idea of killing Superman. Just as in the series of Hush, killing the Joker would seem to prevent many people from killing. Batman doesn't kill in the movie especially but he also doesn't care about deaths. Saving the future from the danger of Superman is Batman's main motivation in the film. Because there is a bigger threat. I do not know how right this approach is. Batman will not kill no matter what. Yes, there are ways to do it in comics and other movies. But there was never a profile that brutally murdered clearly.

We see the importance of Batman's childhood trauma in movies and comics. They are like a ghost that turns his life into a nightmare and somehow he can't get rid of it. We don't know Gordon is in the movie universe, but Batman has lost his Robin and has since become more violent. I guess someone who would turn him on the wrong path or prevent him from drifting in the wrong way could have never been in the film universe. We will learn more info about DCEU with Justice Leauge...
