STEEMIT CULINARY CHALLENGE #44: The best chocolate cake ever made

Hi everyone! This is my entry for @woman-onthe-wing's Steemit Culinary Challenge #44. I invite you to check it out and participate :) The theme is Chocolate Crazy Dessert Divine so I decided to make a chocolate cake. It sounds simple but I can guarantee you this will be the best chocolate cake you'll ever taste (at least it's the best I've ever tasted).

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 3/4 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 and a half teaspoon of baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla
  • 1/2 cup of vegetable oil or melted butter.
  • 1 cup of hot coffee
  • One can of condensed milk
  • 200gr of dark chocolate]
  • 2 tablespoons of butter

First preheat the oven to 350°F and grease your baking pan. Then mix all the dry ingredients together (cocoa powder, sugar, flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt).

Then add the milk, eggs, vanilla and vegetable oil, mxing until it is well combined.

At last, add the hot coffee and mix it very well. The batter will be super thin, that's how it's supposed to be.

Put the batter into the baking pan and bake for 35-40 minutes. Until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. While the cake bakes let's make the chocolate cover. In a pan melt the chocolate with two tablespoons of water at medium heat and once it melts, add the condensed milk. Keep mixing, don't remove from the heat. Eventually it'll start getting thicker and little bubbles will form. When it is super thick (you can see the bottom of the pan when you pass the spoon) take it out from the heat. Be careful not to burn the chocolate.

Once you remove it from the heat, add two tablespoons of butter and mix it with the chocolate. This will keep it from hardening and make it shiny.

Now we wait for the cake to be ready. Once it's ready let it cool down before taking it out of the baking pan and covering it with the chocolate. Be sure to put a lot on top.

I took all the photos. In the pictures I made 3/4 of the recipe, so if you make it your cake will be a little bit bigger. I used a 9x9 inches baking pan.
