When you see the title, does it already scream at you? It's crazy how like cheese, salted egg is gaining such a huge hit and popularity, especially at this part of the region.
You've got salted egg fish skin, salted egg chips, salted egg fried calamari (OMG!!), salted egg bitter gourd (yums!), SALTED EGG EVERYTHING!!!
And last Sunday, we went to this small restaurant that serves Italian food called Solluto, and they served a variety of salted egg dishes that catered to the Asian palette as well!
When I browsed through the menu, SALTED EGG FRIED CHICKEN RICE was screaming at me!
As you can see, the meal was pretty balanced with good serving of half piece of hard boiled egg, salad vege along with its main fried chicken drenched with the flavorful salted egg sauce, the rice was grain rice mixed with beans and there were two small pieces of crackers too! The salted egg sauce was just nice, not too salty and not an overkill at all, which was amazing!
The price was very reasonable too, RM10.90 to be exact! I think it's because they cater to a lot of students so the price isn't high.
I would totally go back again next time!
