Chocolate lava cakes are one of the world’s great indulgences. Once you cut into it, the melted insides just pool out into a sea of deliciousness and is infused in each and every bite.The cakes have a vanilla flavor, which makes them almost taste like melted vanilla ice cream.
The center is creamy and silky smooth, while the exterior of the cake has a nice fluffy texture to it. If you want to introduce some contrasting flavors, serve this cake with fresh berries or a drizzle of bittersweet chocolate sauce instead.
Ingredients :
1/4 cup OR 50 gr unsalted butter
1 cup OR 100 gr white chocolate
2/3 cup OR 60 gr plain flour
1/2 cup OR 100 gr caster sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
Directions
Step 1 : Melt your white chocolate with butter. You can do it in a microwave with 30 second breaks or over the double boiler.
Step 2 : Into a bowl add your eggs and sugar and mix well.
Step 3 : Then add your white chocolate and then sifted flour. Mix that in.
Step 4 : Butter each ramekin and then add some flour to coat it around.
Step 5 : Pour the mixture into your ramekins and place into a freezer for 2 hours for chocolate to freeze.
Step 6 : In the meantime make a raspberry sauce. Add water and icing sugar. Cook for 5 min.
Step 7 : Bake your white chocolate lava cakes at 180 C / 350 F for about 15-17 min. This depends on your oven.
Step 8 : Add icing sugar, your raspberry puree and enjoy your hot lava cake. You can serve with anything you like.
