STEEMIT CULINARY CHALLENGE #46: How to make a Normandy Apple pie with lovely apple crumble on top

Do you smell the baked apples, the crust lightly brown? It is time for Apple harvest an apple pies!

How to make it yourself:

You need:
1 kg apples

175 gram flour

75 grams of butter

75 grams of sugar

Cinnamon

The cinnamon and sugar:

How to put it together:

Step 1
Cut the butter in small cubes and place with the flour. Make a crumble / powder grains by squeezeing the flour and butter in your hands.

Step 2
Add the sugar and mix.

Step 3
Cut the apples in thin slices. Add the cinnamon and mix with the apples.

Step 4
Disperse the apple slices in a baking dish. Top up with the crumble.

Step 5
Bake for 45-60 minutes until golden brown.
The apples will caramelize a bit and the crumble gets nice golden brown.

Enjoy!

Serve with clotted cream or ice cream.
