Eat Street Northshore - Some impressions

Yesterday, on a rainy Australian sunday we went to one of the biggest streetfood markets here in Australia, the Eat Street Streetfood Market in Northshore, Brisbane.

Since I did not had my camera with me because my daily lens is broken I only took a few smartphone shots.

But I can tell you, this place is food heaven and we haven´t been there for the last time. You can actually find anything there. European, Asian, South American streetfood, seafood, lots of sweet stuff, beer tatstings and so on...

Since most of the area is sheltered the rain did not bother us. There are two big main areas with lots of food stalls and a stage in every of them. On one stage a band played some cover songs while in the other area some guys did a mix of hip hop, dancing, making fun and entertaining the people.

The seafood as well as asian got their own area. There was a asian stall with dozens of asian beer you could choose from.

Since you can not try everything on that market, sooner or later you have to fell a decision. So I´ve choosen the Black Angus Brisket on the first shot below. The meat was marinated for 18h in coconut oil and then grilled on the flame. Honestly, this was the best I ever had in quite a while. The taste was just awesome and the meat melted in my mouth. With a price of 15 AUS $ it wasn´t really expensive and definitely worth the price.

If this is not enough, you can choose from so many different desserts. They even have deep fried Mars and Snickers Bars. Or do you want it a bit more healthy then you should go for a 17$ Apple?! Oh sorry, 15$!!!

To be honest I found that a bit overpriced, but there were people rich enough to buy one.

So if you´re ever in Brisbane and get hungry, try this market, you won´r regret.

The market is open Friday to Saturday 6pm - 10pm and sundays from 12pm to 8pm. They charge a entry fee of 3$ but it is totally worth it
