STEEMIT CULINARY CHALLENGE #46: BAKED APPLES STUFFED WITH CHESTNUT ICE CREAM

My second entry for #46 STEEMIT CULINARY CHALLENGE.

BAKED APPLES STUFFED WITH CHESTNUT ICE CREAM

CHESTNUT ICE CREAM
700 g of chestnuts
250 ml of cream
100 ml of milk
cinnamon
honey

BAKED APPLES
4 apples
brown sugar
cinnamon
1,5 of sweet white wine
80 g of dark chocolate

Cut the chestnuts on the side and put them into boiling water and cook for 45 minutes.

When cooked pour out the water, peel the chestnuts and blend them.

Boil the milk and cream and mix blended chestnuts into the mixture.

Mix and cook for 3-5 minutes. Wait a little to cool down than add a teaspoon of cinnamon and three tablespoons of honey.

Place it in the freezer for 5-7 hours.

BAKED APPLES
Wash the apples, cut off the upper part and cut out the core. Put a teaspoon of coconut butter in the middle of the apple, sprinkle it with a teaspoon of cinnamon and a teaspoon of brown sugar and cover it with the upper part of the apple.

Place the apples in a baking tray, covered with baking paper and pour over the wine (I used sweet muscat wine).

Bake for 30 minutes at 250.

When apples are baked, place them on a serving plate, place some chestnut ice cream in the middle of the apple, pour over some melted dark chocolate and cover it with the upper part of the apples. Decorate it with cooked chestnuts.
