Ulog #72: Thai Larb Salad

Last week me and my family went out for an afternoon at the mall as it's near Christmas and we wanted to get a bike for our son. He however didn't seem interested in the bike and we got him toy building blocks instead... hahaha

We stopped for lunch before heading back at a place called, 'Black Canyon'. Nope this isn't a steak joint although it does have a steak or two and some lamb chops. This place is more known for their coffee and fusion thai food like spaghetti with thai basil and chilli.

Anyway we didn't order any pasta but did order another noodle dish which was superb!

This has got to be one of the best Larb salads I've ever tasted. An authentic one would be with minced pork but this place being kosher, they served it with minced chicken as replacement.

That being said, it beat even some of the authentic ones with the flavor profile that this one had. It was tanggy, a little spicy from the chili slices, crunchy and roasted flavor from the peanuts, soft from the glass noodles. It was super appetizing.

I'm craving for this even writing about it in this post and attaching the pic. It was super yum and I'm looking forward to the next time heading back to this place.
