Food for thoughts - desserts

Dessert time , anyone?
I don't know whether it is a good or bad habit that I have. I will look for dessert or yum char in the afternoon when I am bored or too hectic with work. I have to take a break after 2 or 3 hours work to relax and to refresh myself from continues use of brain power.

This is a small family style restaurant in Subang Mewah, that I often come for light meal, snack or mere dessert. The price is relatively cheap as compared with other areas. Food is tasty, the place is clean and at time quiet.

This it regular mak chok (gandum) which is sweet. I normally add hot water to it after eaten a few scoops. I know, I know, The quantity of sugar still the same even though after I have added water to it.

There are 10 types of hot thong shui and 9 types of cold (iced) types in the menu.

The above picture is the Homemade yam cake, it is a traditional Chinese snack. According to the lady boss, most of the food selection in her restaurant is self-made in the kitchen. This is to ensure the food quality is maintained.

I tend to agree with her. Take for example this plate of homemade yam cake is soft and tender, you can see a small cube of yam in the yam cake. It has the aroma of a cooked yam. Some of the shops you go may not serve you yam cake with yam ( no kidding)

Chicken Chop and Nasi Lemak_Ayam are my other favorite once a while if I need a full meal. The price is reasonable but I have not try anyone of them before. However, I could see other custoemr taking these orders
