Northeastern Cuisine--A Unique Restaurant In Shenyang 关东大院-- 正宗东北菜风味

There is an ordinary and simple taste around us, which you often eat, you would never tired of it and it always keeps in the tip of our tongue, that is plain dish. Today I would like to share with you a cultural theme restaurant of northeastern cuisine---Guandong Countyard. It lies in the Huanggu district in Shenyang and has four storeys. Since it is not far from our home, my friends and I often come here for dinner.

有一种味道朴实、平凡、久吃不厌确总萦绕在你的舌尖,那就是家常菜。今天想跟大家分享的是一家具有浓郁的东北文化主题餐厅----关东大院。这家店位于沈阳皇姑区塔弯附近,一共有四层。这是一家很有特色的东北家常菜餐厅,由于离我们住的都不远,所以我和朋友们经常来这里吃饭。

These are all northeastern dishes with a pronounced local country flavour. And these dishes are like northeastern people, who are open,simple, honest and exquisite.

菜式风味浓郁,口味比较重,带有浓厚的乡土气息。 而东北菜也如同东北人的性格,纯朴、热情、粗犷,豪放中透着细腻。

The style of decoration is antique. Most of the ornaments are real, and it seems to bring us bacl to the last century.

里面的装修风格古色古香。大部分道具摆件都是原装真实的,也很有趣,我挑着拍了一些,仿佛穿越回到上个世纪60-70年代。

Look, the donkey was grinding soybean.. The tofu is so fresh that we must order it as long as we come here.

看,小毛驴正在磨豆腐呢。这里的豆腐都是现磨现做的,每次来都必点的。

The old sewing machine reminds me of those skirts which my mother made for me.

旧件缝纫机,上世纪基本家家都有一个。

The old wall clock stand there quietly. I remember there was an old wall clock in my house when I was young, which moved with a slight click every day. When I saw it, I thought of the old good time. Now it is a network world and information society, clock gradually becomes a ornament to some people. We needn't rely on it.

上发条的老式的挂钟。小时候家里也有一个这样的挂钟,每天都滴答整点报时,那时候居然也不觉得它吵闹,看到它突然想起了过去的那些旧时光。现在是网络,手机的时代,时间随处可见,很多人手表都省了,钟也渐渐的成为居家的装饰品了吧。

The old abacus has been used in many parts of the world since ancient times. Now we don't use it but we don't forget its important role in math.

老式的算盘。虽然现在它们都光荣的下岗了,但是过去确发挥着重要的作用,曾经陪伴多少人算数又快又准确。

In this restaurant, there are privates rooms on the third and forth floor, you can reserve in advance. As we arrived earlier and it was not meal time, so there weren't many people and it looked quiet and the environment was spacious. You can see many red lanterns hanging under the ceiling, wooden tables and chairs in it, which had a custom and practice of northeast China.

这里一楼二楼是散台,三四楼是包房。由于我们到的比较早,还不是吃饭高峰期,所以人不是很多,很清静。

里面的环境宽敞大气。大厅上面挂着红灯笼,木制的桌椅,处处透着关东风情。

We ordered lamb chops, stewed chickens with mushroom,white meat blood sausage, cold green vegetables, soft tofu, Fried Potato, Green Pepper and Eggplant. There were some appetizers for free.

The roast lamb chops was tender with a crispy crust and has delicious taste.

这里东北菜做的确实地道。我们点了小鸡炖蘑菇,水豆腐,烤羊排,酸菜猪肉炖血肠,地三鲜,大丰收等。还有免费的餐前小吃,江米条,熟黄豆。

羊排烤的色泽焦黄,外酥里嫩,肉质鲜美。配以辣椒和孜然两种作料,微辣中透着鲜香, 绝对好吃。

white meat and blood sausage with Shredded pickled Chinese cabbage was a speciality of the restaurant. It was coagulated pig blood used as a food item and served with garlic and chili oil. The soup was very delicious,especially are good for you in winter.

酸菜血肠,这是满族特色的传统名菜。用猪血,加入适量清水和调料制成,味道鲜浓。吃的时候搭配蒜泥,韭菜花酱和辣椒油,唇齿留香,久久不散。尤其是在严冬季节,吃这道菜再加以酸菜丝炖煮,汤鲜味美,还有驱寒生暖之效呢。

In short, the portions are very generous in this restaurant and the food tastes sufficiently authentic. If you come to Shenyang and want to taste the local flavor , I highly recommend you to come here for dinner.

其他几道菜这里就不一一细说了。总之,这家东北菜分量给的很足,我们六个人点的六个菜,吃了一些还剩一大半,本着不能浪费的原则,必须打包。如果你到了沈阳,想吃本地特色的东北菜,那么我觉得这家餐厅就很正宗可以来品尝一下。
