It's a sunny day in Belgium and i have made a very tasty BBQ as long as it is spring here and i made a salad as a side dish beside the BBQ, and this salad i promise you you'll addicted. It's perfect as a side dish as Hummos and baba ganosh.
It is created by a Fattoush family in Lebanon, people called the salad as Fattoush based on the family name.
The usual way to serve fatoush salad, just mix the fried bread with the salad, but in my recipe i tried to make a different way to serve. i cut the bread into triangles as tortilla, fried it and decorate my salad with.
Fattoush Lebanese Salad Recipe
Ingredients:
1/2 large Cucumber
2 Large tomatoes
2 cups iceberg lettuce
2 green onion or red onion
6 radish
1 green sweet pepper
1/2 cup parsley
1/2 cup fresh mint
For dressing :
3 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon sumac
2 tablespoons pomegranate molasses
1 lebanese loaf bread or Tortilla
The way:
- Cut the vegetables into medium sized, place in salad bowl.
- Roughly chopped parsley and mint.
- You can mix your dressing a side, but i just add all the season directly to my salad.
- Mix all together until all well combind.
- Cut the bread as a triangles, fry in a hot oil until golden color.
- Decorate your salad with the fried bread.
