So today Steemians, I will share with you My Grandmother’s Jackfruit Jam Recipe. It’s very easy to cook and a culinary degree won’t be necessary.
INGREDIENTS:
1. Shredded Jackfruit
2. Kalamay Powder or Sugar (white or brown)
3. Water
WHAT TO DO:
Put the Shredded Jackfruit in a clean pot.
Put some water. The level of the water is 2 inches from the Shredded Jackfruit. It would also depend on the softness of the Jackfruit that you want to achieve.
Turn on the stove.
Don’t cover the pot to avoid it from spilling when it boils.
Let it boil for 10 minutes.
Mix it gradually to avoid it from sticking to the pot.
After 10 minutes, you can now add the Kalamay Powder or the Sugar. (Kalamay powder- Dark Result/Sugar- Lighter color result)

Check also the softness of the Jackfruit from time to time so you can achieve the softness that you want.
You can also taste the jam if it’s too sweet or the sweetness is not enough. Add water if it’s too sweet and add Kalamay Powder or Sugar if it’s not enough for you.
When you have finally achieved the softness and sweetness that you wanted you may now remove it from the stove and let it cool down.
After cooling it down, transfer it into a container that fits into your refrigerator.
After an hour or two hours in the refrigerator, you can now eat your Tasty Jackfruit Jam.
