Everybody loves Japanese Sushi and Ramen Noodles but did you ever wonder why Tokyo alone has more Michelin Stars than Paris, Germany and London combined? The reason is, that Japanese Cuisine has a huge variety of dishes which you wont ever see in your home tome Sushi Bar.
One of my favorite is Tempura which is totally different from that Japanese Lunch Tempura you possibly ate in Tokyo or anywhere else in the world.
Tempura is Food ART. I dont have another expression for this. Tempura is Food from Heaven, but you have to experience it in a really good Tempura Restaurant. Nobody who has ever eaten real Tempura will be able to explain what tastes so amazing, but everybody will tell you that it is indeed heaven!
I was fortunate enough to be invited to visit Tenmasa in the past, it is located at Maranouchi Building next to the Tokyo Main Station. The Restaurant is at the 23rd floor, but as i sat at the counter, so i didn't check the view out of the windows.
After tasting the first tempura dish prepared right in front of me, i spoke to the Chef, he felt that i was genuinely excited about his food, that he gave 120% in preparing the Tempura for me.

Be prepared to take your credit-card, even i took the Menu for 16.000 Yen (150USD) we ended up paying 36.000 Yen per person. So what happened? The food was so amazing, that we ordered more stuff recommended by the chef, and we had drinks. So that was a super expensive dinner, but i still remember this as a experience from Heaven (I rate this Restaurant higher than Mikawa at Roppongi Hills) and even i didn't have to pay myself, if i paid it, i would say it was worth every penny!
