STEEMIT CULINARY CHALLENGE # 25: Crepes.

Hi there everyone! I'm excited to take part in this challenge again and introduce you guys to some of the dishes that I like to make. This time I think I am going to make a couple of entries because it's kinda hard to just pick one thing. I love good food and cooking, so that's gonna be fun.
Today I'll be making my husband's @matt-a favorite breakfast food, yup it's crepes. They are delicious and easy to make, shall we begin?

Crepes

Ingredients for the batter:

  • 500 ml (around 17 fl.oz) milk;
  • 3 large eggs;
  • 200 g (around 2 cups) flour;
  • 40 g (around 3 tablespoons) butter;
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar;
  • a pinch of salt.

Ingredients for the filling:
For the filling you can use fresh fruits, any kind of jam, honey, nuts, condensed milk or anything else you like or feel like eating. I'm using some strawberries, a banana, honey and nuts today.

Directions:

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, salt and sugar, gradually add in about a half of the milk and stir, sift in flour and whisk it all together, gradually add in the remaining milk, beat until smooth. The batter should become very thin. Melt your butter in a microwave or on a stove, pour it into the mixture and stir well.
Heat a lightly oiled frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the pan, tilt the pan with a circular motion so that the batter coats the surface evenly.
Cook the crepe for about 2 minutes, until the bottom is light brown. Loosen with a spatula, turn and cook the other side. Serve with your choice of filling.
