Canna-Cooking: Dab Infused Walnut Brownies

I posted a very similar article recently but what makes this one different is the presence of walnuts and my favorite special ingredient, dabs. I've talked a lot about my proficiency with making dab edibles and now with the approaching Anarchapulco conference I've got a new chance and excuse to bake edibles. For anyone interested in high quality medicinal quality edibles, contact me :) I've got a background in baking and combined with my understanding of weed I make some damn good edibles.  On to it already!

1/2 c flour, sifted

1/3 c cocoa

1/4 t salt

1 t vanilla

2 eggs

1 1/4 cup sugar

.8 grams high quality dab

I mentioned in my last article that I like to use brownies to clean out the corners of our dab pan and this is especially important with these ones.  The corner brownies were the strongest, for sure.

Using the same trick as last time, I just tipped the container I used to melt the butter into the pan to grease the pan.

Finally coming into more dabs, we devoted this generous helping to this batch of 8 brownies. I use a 9 by 13 pan, by the way.

I use about 115 grams of butter, half of one of my quarter kilo sticks.

Into a cup to be melted on low heat over the stove, VERY gently.

I generally just pick up the dabs with a clean fork.

And mix them into the butter stirring constantly over low heat.  If the butter starts to sizzle too much, remove it from the heat a little.

If things get too bubbly, simply lift the pan about 6 inches above the flame and it should do.  You dont want it to get too hot, just hot enough for the dabs to melt into the butter. Once they're combined it's done.  It doesn't need to be hot, nor do you want it to be.

Add the butter and sugar into a bowl and mix to combine.

Add the eggs and vanilla, mix until creamy.

Add the cocoa and flour and salt, mix until just combined. Add the nuts at this stage, which I would have completely forgotten if not for John.  I put mine in while they were in the oven, not ideal.  Try to fold them in until just combined.

Turn on the oven to 300 F at the most and put the brownies in. You want them to warm with the oven, to reduce cooking time. Cooking time at this takes between 35-55 minutes depending on thickness.  Use a smaller pan or double the recipe for thick brownies.

I took these with me meet some friends, who most of them were intended for. I convinced a good friend to take the one intended for free, I hope he has a good experience with it.  I licked the bowl and have eaten half a brownie at this point.  I've also dabbed but I'm definately experiencing that tiring body high you experience only from edibles.  I can't wait to expand into suckers and things of the like. So thanks for reading, happy cooking!
