Who doesn't love Homemade Coconut Milk?? ♥♥ Here is the recipe ♥♥♥

~ What’s all about with this coconut milk? ~

I believe you noticed it was a real popular food topic these last years. Well, it’s just because of these attractive facts: it’s the vegan replacement version of milk, it has nutritional properties, it’s a healthy source of fat, it keeps you full a few hours and it has an awesome taste. Its versatile, you can use it making delicious smoothies, parfaits, puddings, cookies, salted foods, soups, vegan cheese etc. And c’mon …who doesn’t like coconut flavor?   ❤  ❤  ❤  ❤  ❤

So…I want you to remember this it's a healthy choise. That's why i wrote the recipe for you.

Ok, my dear steemians, there are two ways of doing homemade coconut milk. One is with fresh raw coconut or the other one with dry shredded cocout.  What do you prefer? I usually make it with shredded coconut because it's a little easy and I can find here very good quality coconut flakes.

The recipes for both options are VERY EASY to make.  The ingredients you’ll use:

1. 4 cups of water (for any method you’ll choose)

2. I like the taste being strong, so I use 2 cups of shredded coconut or if you have fresh coconut then 1 will be just fine.

3. You can use honey, cinnamon, vanilla or any other spices you prefer for flavor.

  The method itself:

 1. Heat the water, just a little bit! I know there are many recipes on the internet where you’ll find that the water is heated at high temperature. But I prefer of not doing that because you can kill all that nutrients. It’s no needed for the water to be hot. Being warm it’s just enough. But it’s your choise, how you prefer it.  For example, I choose to heat the water only when I make myself a version of hot chocolate.

2. Put the coconut in the blender  (if you have the fresh coconut, you have to break the hard shell and cut into slices the coconut pulp before adding it to blender)

3. Add the water too and blend everything a few minutes. (1 to 3 maybe)

4. Then strain the coconut pulp and pretty much that’s it.

5. Add also the honey or whatever you want to use for flavor.

6. You’ll have a heartwarming homemade coconut milk.
