Christmas cakes (exclusive for Steemit)

Hi friends Steemians!  Year  ends.  At this time I want to be at home, postpone all business. These cakes we prepared together with the children. Lovely art for the family that will leave fond memories of that time!

You need the next ingredients:

- 1 egg

- 100 gr sugar and 100gr powdered sugar for decor

- 130-150 gr flour

- 100gr unsalted butter

- 125gr molasses or honey

- 50-70 gr cocoa

- ½ teaspoon baking soda

 -  ½ teaspoon salt

- 1 teaspoon ginger

-  1 teaspoon cinnamon

- 1 teaspoon nutmeg

Sift together the flour, cocoa, baking soda, salt, ginger, nutmeg and cinnamon ; set aside.

In a medium bowl, mix together the unsalted butter with sugar. Then put to it yolk from one egg and honey until smooth. Gradually stir in the dry ingredients, until they are completely absorbed. Wrap dough in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

Preheat oven to 175 degrees C. On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough out to 0,5-0,7 cm inch thickness. Cut into desired shapes with cookie cutters. Place cookies an ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake for 15 to 20 minutes in the preheated oven. When the cookies are done, they will look dry, but still be soft to the touch. Remove from the baking sheet to cool on wire racks or on the plate.

You can pour  cookies melted chocolate.

Also you can do icing using the protein from previous egg. Whisk it into solid foam and add the powdered sugar. Stir until the mixture until rollover will not drain. Now you can decorate!
