Simple Recipes: Homemade Breakfast Lasagna

Hello and welcome to another post from Simple recipes. Today I will be introducing a favorite recipe of mine that I prepare at least twice a week. I hope you enjoy making these recipes as much as I do.


Ingredients:

  • One 24 Oz bag of white toast
  • One and half cup of diced meat ( Breakfast sausage, Bacon, Turkey, Ham, pepperoni)
  • One large onion finely diced
  • Two medium Carrots shredded 
  • One tablespoon of crushed garlic
  • One red bell pepper finely diced
  • One Green bell pepper finely diced
  • Two tablespoon of scallion finely diced 
  • One tablespoon of Parsley
  • One teaspoon of each (Salt, Paprika, Oregano, dried coriander, thyme, cajun, black pepper)
  • One cup of mixed cheese (Mozzarella , Cheddar)
  • Half cup of butter or oil


The white sauce:

  • One can of cream product
  • One cup of cream cheese
  • One cup of cheddar
  • One cup of mozzarella
  • One cup of milk
     

Note:

For vegetarians omit meat.


Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350

  3. In a Sauté Pan add butter, after it melts add onion, garlic, and other vegetables. Stir the vegetables for 3-5 minutes then add the diced meat and stir for 5-6 minutes then season with all the above seasoning. Leave them for 4 minutes to cook then remove.

  5. For the white sauce blend all the sauce ingredients together until they are mixed well.

  7. Brush a deep baking pan with butter and arrange first layer of toast, topped with half of the mixed cheese mix.

  9. Add the meat and vegetable mix spread equally for best results, then add around 5 tablespoons of the white sauce.

  11. Add the remaining toast, then sprinkle the remaining cheese mixture on the top.

  13.  Then pour the remaining white sauce on the top.

  15. Bake in oven for around 15 minutes or until it is golden brown.
