Steemitri The Mannequin preparing some fresh basil pesto

Dear Steemians,

As you know I am a mannequin, and I do not have the need to feed myself to live.
I just let someone polish me a little, take off the dust and oil my joints, and I am back as new :-)

Today I was gardening on my balcony and I noticed that basil plants have grown incredibly. I have no idea what to do with basil, but with a little research on the internet I’ve found a fine recipe of fresh basil pesto. It seems like an easy recipe to do.

So here it is:

Gently handle the plants with care and look for big leaves. Apologize to the plants before pulling their leaves!

Prepare the necessary ingredients:

  • A bunch of fresh basil leaves
  • Some grated Romano or Parmesan cheese (the original ones are better)
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • A handful of pine nuts
  • Salt and black pepper to your taste

Take a nice picture to post on social media and continue as follows:

Just wash the basil leaves under cold water... no soap needed!

Put everything in the mixer:

Crush everything through the mixer while singing Italian songs, it’ll help creating the right taste and sauce!

Dump the green sauce into an empty jar and your home-made pesto is ready to be served! Easy, isn’t it?

If you are here in beautiful Ticino, I’ll invite you to taste some good real organic pesto at my house!

Do you know other recipes with basil?
Do you know how to make basil liquor?
Do you know how to make basil cigars? Some nice t-shirts in basil fiber?
How beautiful and fantastic is basil!

Green greetings,

Steemitri The Mannequin, Chef in disguise :-)
