Miss. Delicious #27 : Tasting Hong Kong's Lobster Meat Restaurant and sightseeing Victoria Harbour at night time (photo+video)

Dear Steemit friends:

Visiting Hong Kong is no doubt a foodie's dream, whether it's to taste the various desserts or the famous Dim Sum, you will never be disappointed. However, another must try is the sea food. Today, we're vising a seafood restaurant in Tsim Sha Tsui and at the same time, taking in some of the best nightscape views in all of Hong Kong.

"Ding Hao" or Very Good Seafood Restaurant is one of Hong Kong's most reputable seafood restaurants. The restaurant itself faces the street and on the outside, has a very prominent and eye catching restaurant sign board which you will find hard to miss.
Imgur
Because of the exorbitant prices of rent in Tsim Sha Tsui, most restaurants on this street are in the basement below ground level.

Upon entry, you will see a photo guest book. Upon close inspection, it appears that many celebrities and famous people have come to this restaurant and left their mark.

This food on this advertisement looks like it's popping out and waving at me. It's really surreal!

The menu has so many incredible looking delicacies which all look very tasty. It's quite hard to pick!

Of course, there's also an English / Chinese menu to help the tourists or people unfamiliar with Chinese.

Time to eat! Let's begin and see what's in store. First up, the soup of the day, Lotus roots with Pork on Bone.
Imgur
The waitress kindly dredges up the soup base ingredients and leaves us with just the soup all ready to drink. Some diners like to drink the soup with the meat, others prefer to just drink the soup on it's own.
Imgur
The colour of the soup is very deep and thick. Definitely a sign of a true authentic Cantonese soup.
Imgur
The meat which we dredged up earlier is of course edible and infact it tastes really great!
Imgur
Pinenuts and Eggwhite with bitter melon served cold. This dish is really hard to find anywhere else outside of Hong Kong. Only here will you find this authentic dish.
Imgur
Next up, the King of Seafood, Cheese Baked Lobster with Egg Noodle. The lobster of course is very fresh and the smell is itself already very inviting. The meat of the lobster is pure and limpid, sparkling and translucent. It tastes really fantastic.

There is quite some skilled involved when eating lobsters. Usually there will be some pliers or pincers provided to help break the shell and get at the meat inside.
You might have also noticed there is a set of black chopsticks and another set of white ones. This is not by accident as the black pair is usually used for getting food from dishes on the table, whilst the white ones are for personal use.
Imgur
This bowl is often mistaken for being another soup. It is in fact used for diners to wash their hands after eating the Lobster. It's a nice consideration from the restaurant.
Imgur
After dinner, let's take a walk to the nearby Victoria Harbour to view the nightscape.
Imgur
A lot of people seem to be walking around with Balloons, I assumed they must be coming from or going to a party, or even someone was planning to propose.
Imgur
The night-view is always very beautiful with so many different lights from all the skyscrapers. However, during Christmas, the buildings have often put up Christmas themed videos on their screens, adding to the Christmas and festive atmosphere.
Imgur
Of course, I needed to get a some pictures with the stunning night view.

I was very lucky to have caught this tour boat just as it was about to leave!

Luck seems to be on my side today as I also managed to catch the 3D Light-show performance at the Bell Tower Square. The show was very festive too, perfectly capturing the Christmas atmosphere.

I hope you enjoyed discovering the Seafood and Lobsters of Hong Kong as well as the very beautiful and moving nightscape of Victoria Harbour. Stay tuned for more of my stories from my travels to Hong Kong!
