Spaghetti is one of our top three meals at our house. It is so easy to make, comforting and we love the leftovers.
In a pan on medium heat add ground beef, stir, chop and cook for 5 minutes until most of liquid is absorbed.
You can drain the excess fat.
Add onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, salt and black pepper. Stir and cook for 3-4 minutes.
Add minced garlic and tomato paste. Stir and cook for 1-2 more minutes.
Add in can of crushed tomatoes and tomato sauce. Turn up heat to med high, stir to combine.
Add in seasonings, stir to combine. Bring up to a boil, turn heat down to a low simmer, cover and cook for 45 minutes.
Stir occassionally.
After 45 minutes give it a taste test. Add seasonings as you wish. Stir and cook for another 10 minutes.
Serve over spaghetti and top with parmesan cheese.
OR, add parmesan cheese to sauce, add spaghetti, stir to combine.
