What you will need:
2 ripe bananas
6 tblsp honey
30g butter
200g porridge oats
200g muesli*
2 tblsp mixed seeds (e.g. pumpkin, sunflower, sesame, linseed)
2 tsp ground cinnamon
2 tsp ground ginger
*(You can use any kind of muesli available to you, but I use 100g each of 'Eat Natural Toasted Muesli Buckwheat - containing toasted buckwheat, crisped rice, mixed seeds, dried fruit, coconut and cinnamon... and 'Alara 'Maca's Secrets' Muesli' – containing oat flakes, barley flakes, chopped dates, maca, mixed seeds, ginger)
Method:
In a large bowl mash the bananas... the riper the bananas the sweeter they are, which is what we want since this recipe contains no sugar.
Melt the butter and stir into the mashed bananas, along with the honey.
Add the muesli, porridge oats, seeds, cinnamon and ginger. Mix well until nice and sticky.
Roll into balls in your hands and place onto a baking tray. I like to use silicone to prevent sticking.
Bake in a preheated oven at 190 degrees Celcius for 25 minutes, until golden and slightly crunchy.
Allow to cool on a wire rack, then enjoy this no-sugar-sweet-treat with a nice mug of coffee!
