Foodboasting Contest #7 - Vietnamese pho

I made a post a few days ago of my meal - it was a veritable feest with a variety of textures and flavors!! I have visited many countries in Asia and I became a great fan of their food. I want to believe that I now know the authentic flavors after spending 5 months exploring.

For instance - this *Vietnamese vegetarian Pho soup * (noodle soup) - is served very hot. The steam conveys the warmth of the ingredients in the broth - ginger, cinnamon, coriander etc. Dipping in and eating the noodles with the broth is the start of a gastronomic experience.

Adding the garnish, brings more delight to the palate - mung bean sprouts, sprigs of fresh thai basil, sprigs of fresh mint, thinly sliced red jalapeño, hoisin sauce and a small wedge of lime. Add them separately or however you like.
Is your mouth watering yet? haha

This was a tasty vegetarian rendition but I highly recommend the beef broth version which is even more flavorful. WARNING: The bad versions are full of monosodium glutamate (MSG) - you will taste the difference.
