Hello freedom seekers! Are you ready for a new #FreedomChallenge?
I have been on a steemit hiatus due to traveling and taking much needed downtime away from the computer... but I had to come back out of the woodwork to post this challenge!
The 1st Freedom Challenge contest garnered a lot of interested, excitement and genuine responses. They were amazingly heartfelt and very personal. It humbled me to read your words. You can read the 1st Freedom Challenge responses here.
The 1st Freedom Challenge was my first steemit contest and I quickly discovered some challenges with paying out the full post reward as SBD. While 50% of the rewards are paid as steem power, it is difficult to calculate the exact value of that steem power reward in SBD at the time of payout.
If you are curious learn more about how steem payouts are calculated (thanks to @pennsif for the link!). I had to read it about 3 times to make sense of it. I'm glad I now understand the payout system better, but rather than making a complicated way of calculating the reward for this challenge I decided to change the reward to a fixed SBD to keep things nice and simple!
I am also keeping with the theme of 3 winners!
Thank you @mountainjewel, @schoonercreek, @canadianrenegade, @cecicastor, @senorcoconut and @cabelindsay for your feedback regarding length of time between contests. It sounds like 2-3 weeks is enough time to digest the content between Freedom Challenges.
