Day 201: 5 Minute Freewrite: Tuesday - Prompt: important - An Important Day for Malaysians

Important! Today is a very very important day here in Malaysia. It's the 14th General Election of Malaysia. And it is also my second time voting too. Last time it was five years ago, I purposely took leave and flew back to my hometown with my second girl, Ryenne to vote. My hometown is in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. It is 2 hours and 30 minutes flight away from where I stay now.

Last year I changed my voting place to Cheras, where I now stay. So this morning I went to the school - the polling station together with my husband.

Many people came to vote. We queued for 2 hours before it's our turn to cast our votes. The lady who queued in front of me said last time there aren't this many people. It just took her 30 minutes to cast her vote.

So it's a good sign that more and more people know that it's our right to vote and choose who we want to lead our country.

Let's hope we can see some good changes this time.
